Winner of the Hugh Holton Award from the Mystery Writers of America, Midwest Chapter for the unpublished novel You Make Yourself Another.

Cited on Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine's Annual Readers List for the comedic short story "A Drive-by on Chalmers Road?" 

2021

Anthony Award nominee as part of the anthology Under the Thumb: Stories of Police Oppression, edited by SA Cosby from Rock and a Hard Place Press, which included the short story "Lesson of the Lamp."

2023

Cited on Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine's  Annual Readers List for the private detective short story "Carver (and) [Company]."

2024

A reprint of "Carver (and) [Company" is included in the anthology Twisted Voices: Stories from Ellery Queen alongside stories by Joyce Carol Oates, Iain Rankin, and others.

The short story "The Last Ruined Evening," originally published in Rock and a Hard Place magazine in 2023, is cited as a Distinguished Story in Best American Mystery and Suspense 2024.
